Hello MTC: have ‘24 Hybrid XLT. Getting OEM roll-up Tonneau ($495) and OEM Maverick heavy duty bed pad. Any opinions/reviews of these products? Appreciate any feedback.

(also…500 miles in and getting 32 MPG in Michigan in mixed city/freeway driving and I drive easy…is it still breaking in or is the cold weather not allowing me to get to 40 MPG-ish?)

Congrats on the new Hybrid! Yes, mileage will get better in warmer weather. If you are driving mostly freeway, then mid 30's is about the mileage to be expected. My first 1000 miles, I averaged 47.5mpg all city driving. 2nd 1000 miles I averaged 43, but I used Sport mode a few times
You should learn with the "Star" on your dash screen. That will help you achieve better mpg's.

The cover and bed mat will be nice. I went with a soft tri-fold and a Horse Stall Mat from Tractor supply. Best of luck!🤟

I scored a new soft tri-fold cover for less than $50 (took a little work but paid off)

Regarding your mileage, what mode are you typically driving in? Meaning Normal, Eco, Sport etc? I have about 900 miles on my 24 hybrid and have been averaging about 42-44mugs. That’s a mix of city and two land highway. I haven’t driven at interstate speeds yet trying to get through the 1,000 mile break in period first. But I have put mine in Eco mode every time I drive it.

I have the soft roll-up bed cover and rubber pad for the bed, both work great and very happy with both!

With our previous hybrids I found the engine had to warm up before the hybrid system would function.

Exactly the same on our XLT, doing 38-39 mpg since cold weather arrived.

Truxedo (OEM) Soft Roll up is one of the best IMO. It does move around/flap at times in windy conditions, but the material is heavier than other soft roll ups that I have seen. I like that it has the embossed Ford logo too. Can use FordPass points to discount this too! I have used one of these since 2016 in some fashion.

I wouldn't worry about MPGs at this point. I am currently getting around 33MPG, not far from you. During the summer I see 40-46 with an overall hand calculated average of 38.7. Cold weather forces it to run the engine more to create heat. During the milder seasons you will see better MPG and if you are willing to sacrifice HVAC you can get another 10% increase.

It's pretty clear at this point that drive modes do not matter if you are staying in Normal/Eco/Slippery. I would recommend ignoring anyone that takes a hard line stance on this.

Good Luck!
