Maverick Lariat Climate Control "Dual" Mode

Manual reads : Dual Mode On or Off. Is one to assume that if it's "ON" any adjustment to temperature is the same for both passenger and driver; and if "Off" the passenger and driver can adjust their individual temperatures? Thanks in advanced for asking what many will consider a silly question.

Dual zone means there are two zones - driver and passenger.

In single zone mode, adjusting the left temp dial will adjust the single zone.

In dual zone mode, adjusting the left temp dial will adjust only the driver zone.

In either mode, adjusting the right temp dial will adjust only the passenger zone. In single zone mode, this means that it will automatically switch to dual zone mode if you turn adjust the right temp dial.

Pressing the button on the right temp dial will then switch back to single zone mode.

Dual On: each person can set their preferred temp. Dual Off: I PRESUME the temp set by driver's side selector will be the temp coming out all vents. I have had my truck four months and presume this is how it works... Had not thought about it.

I don't think I've ever seen dual zones actually cool separately. Seems there is only one fan right? How do the separate zones supposedly work? Or is it placebo?

It just re directs damper and heat control. My better half likes 80. I like 68. Works great. When mama happy so is papa

haven’t had it in summer yet, hopefully a/c works as well
