We had rodent issues and they fixed the chewed wires on my husbands hybrid maverick. The car was driven back to us a 30 minute drive, next day my husband went to a doctors appointment and on the way home the pull over safely alert came on and the car was dead on the road. They needed a special tow because they couldn't move the car. The car has now been at the dealer for more than a week and they can't seem to find any more damage hjowever they are still saying it is rodent damage as the engine had droppings on it. At this point we feel like they don't want to honor the warranty and are Tring to find some other evidence of rodent damage?
Sorry to hear that happened to you. My guess is that isn't covered by warranty. Might be covered by insurance? Lot of good tips on here. Had that happen to a VW GTI. Since then I have had good luck with high fragrance Bounce dryer sheets when storing boats and cars for the winter. I put them in 'closed spaces' and under seats. The smell isn't the greatest but you get used to it.
