Exactly. The supply of chips that they have will go to producing the vehicles on the line and then anything else will go to the ones that have already been produced without them and are sitting. I experienced this myself along with many others with my Bronco Sport from last June, they are just finishing up deliveries with them.We really have no idea how they are allocating chips. One thing is for sure, the HAVE to keep the assembly line productive. They build what they can with what they have. I would guess that if they had to order additional chips to cover shortfalls, these extra chips are what gets allocated to stuff sitting in the lot. They can't plan an assembly run then have the whole thing grind to a halt because they cannibalized chips from vehicles on the line for stuff in the lot.
