I'm waiting for a no rain day to install.

After a minor collision sidelined this truck for four months while Ford finally decided to ship a few front sensor wiring harness' out of Mexico. A $135 part, but the entire repair was just shy of $10k. No sheet metal body panels were involved in the 10mph bump. Now imagine a 230lb deer at 70mph slamming into your Maverick. An XL could be a total loss at 50%. That's why I'm going to beef up my Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD and I'm adding a Rough Country suspension system. My Steelcraft grille guard has protected my F-350's from two deer 🦌🦌 without a mark to show. Yeah, I'm going to have another apocalypse looking beast mobile, but I'll hopefully reduce deer damage somewhat.

I have XL which has no ACC and does have emergency braking using the camera.
Unless the higher trims with ACC are tying in the LIDAR transciever in the grill into the emergency braking controller loop, then the brush guard is doing zero zilch nada to the Maverick emergency braking system. It is camera actuated only, to my knowledge.
They probably boilerplated that because they don't know exactly how Mavericks emergency braking works if its camera only or camera + LIDAR

1 of the 3 brush guards would block the LIDAR with the perforated plate in front the grill, the other has a big hole in front the grill so LIDAR will work.

Couple of warnings about using this on your Maverick. According to Black Horse purchase page, it will interfere with ACC and most importantly, emergency braking systems.

Thanks for providing information for those XL & XLT owners without ACC.

I forgot to mention that the center of this grille guard had a removable plate for the camera to see through. I have not removed it yet on the photo.
