Maverick #1 gone, Maverick #2 is here!

After only 6 months, I was involved in a car accident (involving 4 cars) that totaled my 2025 Maverick. However, I knew I had to get another! (I was found not at fault).

Maverick 2025 Lariat (#2) - Only difference was I added the 4K Tow Package. Happy I was able to order the Eruption Green again before the switch to 2026.

Curious if you had any of the “crash avoidance” modules activated? If yes - did they activate or help any?

I had a minor burn on my arm from the airbag. The steering wheel airbag and footwell airbag deployed.

The accident happened so quickly but I believe that it did attempt to swerve out of the way and certainly stopped me from hitting the utility pole (that you can see in the picture). For clarity, here is what happened. I was on a minor highway (2 lanes going in either direction with no physical barrier between). I was driving south in the outside lane. A car going north crossed the median into on coming traffic, hit a car head-on that was a car length in front of me in the inside lane. That car then was pushed into my lane and we collided.

I DID notice that sturdy pole so close to you - stopped just in time!

Enjoy your new Emerald Green. Finding one without a “salvage title” just got more difficult

Can you imagine if Ford offered the greens and blues in a matte finish. There was a story today about Ford releasing special garage packages with special colors for the 2026 Maverick. I hope they have a few matte finishes. Might convince me to pull the trigger on my 2022.
