Mav lost in transit?

Called Ford customer service yesterday to get rail car number and was told my Mav was in Arizona BUT no longer on a railcar and has the same delivery window at my dealer. WTF. I'm in Virginia waiting. Wondering if this was in anticipation of the rail strike Thursday. Will wait till Monday and call again.

When was your car shipped? I know the railroads stopped accepting auto shipments on Tuesday so your Maverick may be sitting in a rail yard in Arizona. Call your dealer to get your rail car number. it will be on the VVR report. In any event, since the strike won't be happening, your Maverick should start moving.

That doesn't make sense. Ours was built Mon. 9/12, left Mexico Wed. 9/14, and was in Nogales that afternoon. It arrived in Tucson early this morning 9/16.
After all the waiting, things seem to be moving fast now!

I read an article on the strike stating that the railroads were suspending transporting autos on Tuesday. Perhaps yours was put on the train and just missed the deadline. in any event, things should be moving along now. Enjoy your Maverick.

I guess you can say that we're excited about having something else to be excited about!
Instead of wondering if/when the darned thing will be built, now we can watch its train ride home.
Believe it or not, I printed out a map to plot the journey!

I've been tracking mine too. Mine went from Mexico to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and has been sitting for a day in Gateway rail yard in Illinois. Hopefully it makes it to Atlanta sometime next week. and I can pick it up after waiting almost 1 year.

Wow! Wonder how many places ours will visit? We started out this past Wed. 9/14. A little surprised it's gone that far in just two days!

Mine started out on Friday, Sept 9th. I'm thinking yours will probably take the same route as mine, so it looks like our Mavericks are taking the grand tour of the US.

My dealer said he could not track my truck although Ford sent me an email saying it has been shipped and should be at the dealer first week of October. Can someone tell me how to get a rail number or whatever it is so that I can track it on the train?

Go to Ford chat, give your VIN, order #, sales #, etc. They should be able to give it to you. Then go to the forum post on how to track the rail car.

Go to Ford chat, give your VIN, order #, sales #, etc. They should be able to give it to you. Then go to the forum post on how to track the rail car.

You will need to get the rail car number from your dealer. I didn't have any luck getting it from Customer service, but you may get lucky when you call.

I saw a car-carrier train sitting on the rails today in St. Paul, MN. Took all my restraint from riding my bike back and forth to see if I could see any Mavs inside lol
