The 2024 & earlier Magnaflow Catback requires a cut be made about 3 inches behind the secondary cat. The 2025 (non GPF) 2.0 EcoBoost has a cut and clamp about 10 inches behind the secondary cat.

I do not want to cut 3 inches back of cat - but connect to the existing OEM cut. I can then reconnect the OEM if required:)

Any Magnaflow aficionados here that have any insights on future offerings? Maybe they’re waiting to see how the GPF version of the Maverick exhaust turns out?

Thanks for any insight

Go to a local exhaust shop. Have them cut out the stock muffler and weld in the same sized magnaflow muffler.

The sound will be essentially the same as buying an expensive cat back magnaflow exhaust.

The 1-2 hp gain will be essentially the same as buying an expensive cat back mangnaflow exhaust.

I don’t have a Lobo, so I haven’t changed the stock exhaust. The lobo would sound cool, being able to manually hold it in one gear, while spooling up the boost. But all of the other Maverick ecoboost variants are constantly hunting for gears under partial throttle, trying to maximize power output vs fuel efficiency. The system works well. It does what it was designed to do. But it would be really annoying to have to listen to it all the time. And it announces to everyone around you if you intend to pass them because they hear you every time the trans shifts down.

The Lobo already has a cut/clamp behind the secondary cat. I want to find a “bolt on” catback that does not involve cutting (I have tool) or welding (don’t have tools).

Don’t think anything exists yet using the OEM cut…but I’ll keep looking.

Not sure if all 2025 models have the new OEM cut. If they do, aftermarket choices will soon follow!

I got a Q's for the 2024 maverick Lariat Tremor is the factory pipe diameter exactly (2.25")? Or is it 2.50"?!

I can't find that info

Either 2.25” or 60mm depending on who you ask. My manual caliper & crappy eyesight can’t tell the difference. The major catback makers make 2.5” or 3.0” systems made to clamp onto the OEM 2.25” (0r 60mm).

I found 2 options with the 2.25" inlet pipe
BORLA 40357 ProXS
MagnaFlow Performance 11225

Now I need to make a decision 😩

I have a 2025 Maverick and called Magnaflow and asked about future catback that would fit my truck, They had no plans to do anything like that. I stopped by my local muffler shop to get some advice. He told me he has a Magnaflow that he could swap it out from the factory muffler. He told me it is a better option and less expensive. So he cut of the stock muffler and welded the Magnaflow 11225 in it's place.. I was a little worried at the time because I had not heard of anyone doing this. As soon as he was done I fired it up and loved the sound. I drove it around for a couple of hours and it sounded perfect. Low pitched growl and no noise in the cabin at highway speeds. He charged me $300.
