my pixel 6 pro with case wouldn't fit in pouches, but wife's iPhone 14 with case did. Pixel 6 pro no case fit. I'm using side pouches for pens, tire gauge, knife, ChapStick.

Interesting, I am considering this item and have a iphone 16 pro max. I wonder if it will fit. Height is 6.25" and the width is 3.25"...

it's the width that prevented mine from fitting in the side pouch once installed on the truck.
iPhone 16 Pro Max: 6.42 inches tall, 3.06 inches wide, and 0.32 inches thick.
iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6.33 inches tall, 3.05 inches wide, and 0.31 inches thick.
The 16 Pro Max is slightly taller and thicker than the 14 Pro Max.
