I’m just now completing another easy mod that combines products introduced by the two major providers of accessories for our Mavericks, Mabett and Maxzina. I have had Mabett’s sliding bed divider and rail system mounted in my truck bed for some time. It is one of my favorite add-ons. Maxzina’s recent release of a set of self-retracting tie down straps and a Molle panel to fit the front wall of the truck allows me to gain even greater utility when combined with Mabett’s divider.
This is a simple mod to accomplish. The retractable tie-down units have been mounted to the upper corners of the divider. Prior to mounting the panel, I have added two pairs of eye bolt anchor points. One pair is located high, the other low. Combined with rail-mounted tie downs and multiple rail, floor, and tailgate anchors, I’m confident that if it fits in the bed, I can secure it.
I have included photos of the modded divider and front panel. Unfortunately, until I can cajole a grandson to climb into the truck bed to mount the panel or I undergo the necessary hip replacement, they will have to do.
