just added LED lights in the back of my wife's Maverick and use the flexbed power pigtail to wire them. They work great but it's annoying when go out there in the middle of the night and need to get in the bed andl can't get the lights to turn on. Has anybody gotten 12-volt constant power somewhere on the truck. It looks like it'd be easy to get to the battery underneath the rear seat. There even looks like there's an empty rubber tube that leads right to the battery for additional wires. Anybody do this or is there any downside to this?

I'm also doing this project this week. I plan on wiring into the lower LED bed light switch power near the 120v plug. I'm using 3 prop rod switches for the side "windoors" and rear window on the ARE MX cap. Also installing bypass switches at each of the 3 tilt up windows inside the cap. I want the ability to defeat the prop switch if I decide to leave the windows open for a longer length of time.

You can use forscan to extend the power point timeout. Factory is 4500s (1h15m) and you can change it to any length that you want.
