Long production time

My truck has been in production since 09/06/21. Is that normal? I’m surprised I haven’t gotten a built email yet. My truck is a Hybrid lariat. Anyone have a similar experience?

Unfortunately for hybrids, yes. My XL hybrid was in production from 9/29 until just last week, 12/13. Hopefully you will get a "built" email from Ford soon.

Seems to be what's known as first in, last out with the hundreds (thousands?) of hybrids built before the ok to buy was issued back in November.

You could give Ford a call. I called for the first time a couple of weeks ago and then was "built" the next week! (800) 334-4375

what exactly IS the "normal" benchmark for a brand new 1st year model that didn't even get the "OK to Buy" until end of November? MPG numbers delay was also involved- all out of Ford's control. And just because it got classified as "in production" that could mean nothing at all about the reality of whether they actually built your specific vehicle at any point up to now as it seems to be a very loose definition of what us people looking in from the outside would expect it to mean at face value.

Mine has been listed as "in production" since 12/13, but the date they finally put on the dot in the circle on the bar is 12/17. When the 12/17 production date was listed I also got an estimated delivery date of 1/23, which has recently been changed to 1/19. No explanations from Ford as to why the change, but I'm not complaining.

Mine has been in production since 11/29. Actual dot of 12/7. Original delivery date 1/14 then changed to 1/12. Highly doubt I get it before either of those dates as it’s still in production and not built.

That is a not abnormal for a hybrid.
