Long McArthur Scheduling Update

In a nutshell:
- Retail scheduling has started, so retail orders ARE being pulled and assigned. VIN's.
- Ford started pulling stock builds two weeks ago
- Hybrids builds are limited to retail builds at this time, so all stock orders will be Ecoboost power trains
- General demand has been higher than expected, especially for hybrids, hence the ecoboost stock orders will arrive at dealerships before most retail, so people can see, feel, and test drive.

Do we have any details on what the lead time is like between scheduling and delivery? Let’s say a maverick is scheduled early august, how long before the truck arrives at the dealership?

Based on my understanding your verification date is the day you received a confirmation email from Ford.

Yeah, I ordered mine last week, and my sales guy thought I would get mine in November...it was all I could to do not laugh in his face.

Based on the 80,000-ish reservations Ford claims to have received, I have to think that my Jul 21 confirmation date puts me somewhere in the high 60k's. I'm guessing, based on available information is my delivery date will be in the in the first quarter of next year. Depending on build and options, you're probably looking at February to April of next year.

I'm curious to see how well the ecoboost stock models sell.

Kicking myself for not doing my initial order with the dealer I'm buying from now instead of with a local dealer. That bumped me back from 6/9/21 (local order that I cancelled) to 6/21/21 (current order) but that just means a bigger down payment (silver lining).

The guy from Long McArther has given an estimate of 8 weeks between having your vehicle build scheduled and taking delivery.

And the disruption in the supply chain is not gone away either...
On the positive side, I think that more people now "reserve" vehicles to be on the safe side with all the disruption and the local dealer vehicle scarcity pushing the price high. At least in my family, we have ordered two different vehicles unseen with delivery several months from now. Both VW and FORD just asked for a $100 refundable payment.
