They are wrong, the dealer just needs to file for an exemption. With orders taking a year or more, Ford doesn't expect people's lives to stop. People will move.

I know this isn't your responsibility but my dealer is now saying they won't be able to honor the private offer because it follows the address not the person. Is there anything you can do to help me out? My dealer is Sanderson Ford here in Glendale AZ.

This is, by far, one of the most idiotic comments I've seen come from a dealer.
