Unlike the non-hybrid Lariat I previously had, I'm frustrated that with my new 2025 hybrid I keep having to re-initiate the dash screen views every time I drive the truck. I have to re-select the Fuel Economy "card" and re-add the ECO mode setting. Is there a way that, once my preferences are set up, I can lock the settings so the next time I drive the truck they are where they were when I shut it off? Frustrating!

Thanks for your reply. Frustrating and humorous at the same time on my end. I spend 32 years at Chrysler; 27 in powertrain and 5 in marketing. As far as I can tell, Ford suffers from the same "no one is watching the store" behavior. That they apparently missed a basic function like this is - classic. Such a great truck. Such a frustrating user interface.
Maybe they will fix it? I'll not hold my breath.

That is my gripe about my 25 as well. How hard is it to keep all the settings the same, it seems like it would be a simple programming.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I looked for when I got mine.. Very annoying.

maybe ford doesn’t actively want people to use them. Maybe plat with, but not 24/7 display. It’s possible they felt it is causing distraction

or just lazy.

prob lazy

I'm with y'all. Has anyone looked at Forscan to see if the new Cards and driving modes are in there and can be defaulted to come up?

I really researched the Cards when I first got the truck, but I don't think I ever tried to figure out if I can sort the order in which the cards come up. Do y'all know if you can re-sort how the cards come up? I know you can select which ones you want in MyMenu, but that's another step to get into when you start up. It'd be nice if MyMenu could be the default cards that come up.

Right now I push the Ok switch to get rid of the seat belt info screen, hit the left Mode button 3 times to get into Slippery mode, and then push up on the Ok switch twice to get the EV Card to come up. It'd be best if the truck could remember my last settings or at least if I could hit the left Mode button once and the Ok switch up once to get to slippery & EV Card...First world problems. 😊

Some terms I haven’t read before, ‘cards’ referring to displays?

24 Lariat hybrid here. My EV Coach display once selected constantly stays selected, or which ever was last up, start after start. So that’s a change to 25’s?

Posting only to mention that a member here makes a device that when wired in (supposedly minor job) can alter the starting drive mode to one of your choice. It may come set to eco mode, but I thought that was changeable.

you can do it in forscan in 24 models, don't know about 25 .

what it was is you set the modes from like 0 1 2 3 or something, or disable the normal mode, and it defaults to the next mode in line.

Yes, Cards are little windows that display on the information screen (where the speedometer & stuff is; not the infotainment screen where the radio & stuff is).

Here's a link to one of the conversations about it.

But the cards appear in the space where the red box is on the right side.

My point in starting this thread was to 1) question if I'm missing something and 2) to emphasize the "nobody watching the store" idea. As for Ford trying to avoid a distraction,..., NAW. Every OEM puts larger and larger center screens in every year as a marketing gizmo. Talk about distracting!
Watching the real time bar graph FE gauge has been fun, but even if the default screen had a simple, small readout of average FE, that would be great. People buy hybrids for FE.
This is clearly not-thinking on Ford's part.

I hope to be snooping around with Forscan in my 25 XT this weekend. I loaded up Forscan on my laptop yesterday and the ELM327 is arriving today. Just hope I don't mess it up if I can even get to it after the honey do list.
