two different dealerships told me on 8/1 that the Ford's system wouldn't let them place an order for a Lobo. I remember something like that happening with the Tremor 2 years ago, so I was not overly surprised.

if/when you get an order confirmation with an order code, post it here. I'm curious how long it'll take Ford to fix the order system.

I saw somewhere that Lobos weren't going to be available right away. Something about a late production start on them or something. It would make sense if the production on them is starting later than the rest that order banks for them wouldn't start right away.

Yes, @fordvideoguy Tim Bartz was saying something about that on YT and FB. I believe what he was saying is that ProTrailer will be Job 2 which is informally the mid-point of production. The Lariat, Lobo and Tremor all come standard with ProTrailer which makes sense for Lariat, but if I'm honest, it's weird for Lobo and Tremor considering they have a 2k towing limit.

I believe he was not sure if there's going to be a blank dummy knob and then it gets finished / installed later, or what. Normally I would guess that scheduling is just deferred, but since it's standard on Lariat it does make sense Ford wants to build and sell some Lariats rather than push them off.

I think this issue I opened the thread about is different, something specific seems broken with Lobo ordering.

PTBA and PTHA is be on job 2 Lariat, Tremor, Lobo, which should be available to schedule in November for January build dates (or so I've been told). I agree that it doesn't make much sense on Tremor and Lobo with just 2k towing. I think it should be on 4k Tow Package. I was told that it needs the 360 Camera which isn't available on XL and XLT.

I heard back from both of the dealerships I talked to on 8/1 and they each confirmed they can place orders for a Lobo now. High trim / lariat features.

The XLT-based Lobo probably is looking like Nov/Dec for orders.

Correct information except that the Lobo order banks closed sometime on the 2nd. We were not able to order one and I reached out to the Maverick Team and someone paused it accidently until yesterday afternoon. It is now open up again for 702A High Package. 402A will open in November.
