They’ve been very handy in my dark garage when I’ve gone to retrieve tools from under the seat.

You have two options. You can buy the LED that are rechargeable and splice the charging cable into the power behind the back seat. Another option is to buy led with rechargeable batteries and Velcro them to the seat and charge them whenever they die.
