Great questions, I have one of those tailgate shocks and I wondered if they would interfere when I saw the installation.

The measure is 1.6FT.The length of the expansion to the outside is the same as the length of the inside.

Given that this device uses the same mounting points as the tailgate shock, I don't see how they could work together.

Pricy, yes, but offers more... But like all that we desire, it is not yet available for Maverick. This one is made for the F series. EZ4×4 has them for Tacoma and Jeep. I'm hoping for Maverick someday soon.

Great design! Very similar to my diy model from a couple of years ago! Made from a ladder and a shelf piece. Mounts to the lower tie down.

I think you have your measurements wrong. 1.6' is about 20" which is the depth of the bed and the tailgate. Your device only extends to the mid point of the tailgate and not to the edge of the tailgate as it should. You need to make those legs longer. And as a table this device should be about 30" - 36" off the ground to be usable.

The angle at which the extender flips into the interior of the bed is the height of the extender itself (19.1in), including all the lengths extended into it.

Yeah.If you need to convert, you need to loosen the screws and fix them in the corresponding position before tightening them again.

If you use the factory mounting holes it'll just flip from extender to divider, and not interfere with the tailgate dampener: (Note I did swap my mounts between sides L/R and the factory mount uses a backing plate to thread into so the tail lights have to be removed to set that plate. Also shown in this picture, I trimmed that plastic plug and moved my bed light switch there)
