Installed these into the truck tonight. The reverse light is a new type of bulb so I ordered 3156/3157 leds and Dremel the sides off. It's a perfect fit and damn they're bright. The cargo light is a 921 in case anyone wants to get the bulbs instead of the cheap dim sealed led 3rd brake light.

Perfect. I have 3157 waiting to install. Glad they fit. Already filed the little nubs off

You will have to file the entire side flush to the base of the contacts

Alla makes an LED for the uncommon reverse light. Apparently no grinding required (though I have neither the bulb or truck yet to check personally)

But they don't have the high power/wattage LEDs with the heatsinks. I understand if you just want them white. But I wanted them as bright as possible. Might piss people off when I'm backing up but at least I can see them through my tint.

But they're reverse lights. How much power do you need? And they shouldn't be on for that long at a time

Like headlights but for the back. So I can see through my tint. Haha

Ever tried backing up a trailer in the dark?

I'm definitely interested! Especially if it helps me
back my truck into the garage at night! Light on
garage door opener just isn't enough to see with, while backing in.
And the stuff piled up on passenger side of truck isn't helping me much!

I'm a commercial class A driver so yes I have and it's a b*tch
I was agreeing with you that bright is good.

In fact just Friday night my buddy had to back a trailer into his driveway. Tree on one side, soupy wet yard on the other. Couldn't see shit because the factory backup lights on his truck suck.
