Getting close ... any body go through the inspection? My dealer says it's done by a 3rd party. Worried they'll be too picky. Though, apart from 8 little pin size paint chips, it's excellent. Experiences?

I think you'll be just fine w/ tiny paint chips like that!

There are specific standards, I've never had a problem returning a lease.

My last full time was as an Off Lease auto inspector in the SE US. Our company didn't have the Ford the contract, but I can tell you the guidelines for Ford posted by @Tiger Dude are much more generous than many we worked for. Most were pretty realistic though, did for GM, Chrysler, Nissan, Honda and a few banks. Honda was the toughest. This was back in the early 2000's. Most problems I encountered involved improperly repaired accident damages. Bottom Line: you should be fine.
