Lariat Pricing

Why does a Lariat have a higher price of $2,200 for an Eco Boost than a Hybrid. For an XL and XLT it is the same price for either one. However the Lariat has a higher price for the EB. Anyone able to explain the difference?

Lariat only comes with AWD for the EB

I think it's because you have to have AWD on the lariat trim if you go EB.

Yes, it is because AWD is no longer an option on the Lariat as it was on the 22. Now it is a "mandatory" option added to the base price. It should just be part of the base price; marketing ploy of some kind. I have the 22 Lariat FWD. I live in the South, do not go off roading and I am completely satisfied with FWD. My FWD Maverick will still go in my pastures/fields where my long bed Ram RWD will not go. A rip off to me if you do need/want it.

Another part of this is the reduction of the estimated combined gas mileage from 26 to 25 mpg. I realize this may nit-picking, but for 100,000 miles this is about an extra 186 gallons of gas. A conservative estimate of $5 a gallon means this adds $930 to the buyer's total gas costs. Just saying.....
