Lamp Guard for Headlights good idea?

Recently purchased a 2025 Maverick Hybrid. Wondering if the Lamp Gards are a good idea to purchase? Weather Tech makes them as well as Lamin-X Protective Films. Thank you!

I had Lamin-X on my previous car's headlamps and they didn't have any rock chips or uv fading. I purposely purchased Lamin-x because of the uv blockers instead of some no-name off of amazon.

I have the Weather Tech ones but still need to install them. I'm thinking of asking the guy who did my replacement windshield tint to do it.

Never had a chip or crack issue with any headlights. If owning from new, routine (2x year) waxing is all you need, IMO.

Apparently the 2025 Lariat headlight is a pretty pricey part so I purchased the WeatherTech films to try and protect them. As I was reading the instructions I noticed it says that professional installation is recommended! I tried to install them myself but the last compound curve defeated me. I ended up having a car wrap/ tint place put a new set on with no problems at all. They cut up the old set and made door handle protectors, including the tailgate, so all was not lost. I watched the install and they used a heat gun and hot water spray to defeat the curves. They also said a softer squeegee would be helpful. Looks great but only time will tell.
