Kicker Hideaway With B&O

I've searched and can't seem to find anything but has anyone installed a kicker HS10 behind the seat of a Maverick with B&O? From what I read the B&O amp needs to stay connected which takes up the best spot to mount the hideaway.

I put my HS8 under the seat and left the B&O amp/sub installed.

I could be wrong, but it seems like being in the under seat enclosure gives it better acoustics then open air behind the seat. Much easier install as well.

I am pretty sure you can remove the B&O sub and leave the B&O amp, then put the HS10 beneath it. Remove your 6x9 and take some measurements, then compare to the dimensions of the HS10. If it's close, make a cardboard mockup- just find a box bigger than the HS10 and cut it down to that size.

You will need to make a bracket for the HS10. People typically use a plastic cutting board. Actually I did see at least one person bolt their powered sub to the floor, which would go right through but won't be visible since it penetrates under the truck. Not really ideal but also not much different from doing the same thing in the trunk of a car.

Just installed my HS8 under the seat and it keeps going into protect mode. I used a ground on the back wall of the cab and wired straight to the battery. I may try swapping fuses but my connections all look good. I tapped the wires in the stock sub connector for high level in.

Did you have any issues?

I ran a separate remote wire from my passenger fuse panel.

It kept kicking on and off with the truck off. I know at least on the hybrid the infotainment system randomly puts out a signal, as well as anytime you open a door. It was causing my HS8 to come on and off all the time and put my truck in deep sleep.

No issues since.

Did you buy a harness for the speaker level inputs or just tie into the B&O amp?

When I eyeballed it there didn't look to be enough room but I'll definitely take a closer look this weekend. As far as the cutting board bracket, I'll have to research that one. Thanks!
