I store my range credentials in it.

My idea on how to fill this useless opening, I prefer analog anyway.

I agree on the bigger size but still looks great and vintage.

I put my thumb drives in there, that's where I store my music now. Perfect depth and they stay in place when driving.

I guess nobody has noticed the faux stitching added around the dash. Where did you get that (link please)?

Fabmav ,the faux stitching came from a local parts house, I don't recall the name of it, I thought it looked good so thanks for the good words. The only problem with it is the factory glue was weak and tended to turn loose if the truck sat out in the sun ,so I took it off and used spray glue and reapplied it.

There is a question that is suddenlty important to me. How wide exactly is the cubby opening? Is it wide enough to fit a MiG clock, I wonder? I suspect it probably isn't wide enough.

Serow, that's a very cool clock. I looked at one that was 2 3/4 inches and was afraid I would have to modify the dash,so I decided to go small. I can't tell how large your clock is but I'm guessing about 4 inches ,so it's your call. The very front of the opening flares out so if your clock is ..say 3 inches and is no more then half an inch thick it might work and IMHO would look great.

Where did you get the flat plastic piece the clock is attached to? Is it removable? I keep my garage door opener in mine but would love the cover and move the analog clock I glued to my dash to that location. Thanks!!!

Palms,it is wood ,cut to fit the opening and press into cubby about half an inch ,it stays in place by friction. I then board a hole to fit the clock flush. Then covered the front and sides with black faux leather.
