Just got CHIP UPDATE from Ford on my Hybrid FE Lariat w/ CoPilot 360

Order date was June 18. Went intro production Jan 18. As of today it is OUT of production but now in a Microchip Hold Status & has a ship date range of March 12-18. Ford said thats when they anticipate chips being installed & then shipping out. Said expect about 21 days for shipping from Mexico to Atlanta area where I live. At least it's moving along.

On a side note, I have NEVER received one email from Ford...not even after initial order. Ford said about 40% of folks who ordered never received any status updates and they had never been able to resolve that problem. So looks like I'm not alone which sucks as it relies on me to contintually check on it. Also, the tracking website intermittenly goes up & down & Ford said they've been working on that for about a month.

Congratulations! I have never received one email either. Confirmed my email is correct with both my dealer and Ford but I had no idea I was even scheduled until I called Ford and my dealer yesterday and was given a vin and build week. I’ve checked my email like mad each Thur. and apparently will never get an email.

I know the owner of my dealership and placed my order directly with him. He said he confirmed a couple times that my email is correct on my order (placed 7/12/21), but I’m in the camp that’s never received any email from Ford, either. And it’s definitely not in my spam folder as I’ve check that, too.

FWIW, mine went into production in very late December and then went to shipped status on 1/8 and has shown an ETA of 2/15 ever since to central NC. Dealer has heard nothing from Ford on when to expect it, so it’ll be interesting to see when it actually shows up. Obviously it’s already been much longer than the 21 days the OP was quoted to ATL and we definitely aren’t that much further.

All I know is the waiting to get scheduled was bad, but this shipping wait might be worse.

Quick edit: mine is an XLT hybrid in Area51 with Lux and nothing else added. I did also ask for an Area51 camper shell and the dealer has received that. Just need my truck to show up!

When did you order? ALso CoPilot 360 I dont think I can drop. It came automatically with it when I chose First Edition Lariat if I remember correctly. Either way, if mine is already built and awaiting a chip, looks like I'm getting it regardless.

You need your VIN and your order number from your dealer. There are sticky threads in this forum that tell you everything you need to know.

Where did you get this info? Did you call the Ford customer service line and they told you this?

I feel your pain, no email ever but my 7/23 order was confirmed by Ford when I called. Hope this is our week to get scheduled! 🛻

Ordered June 30th Lariat Hybrid Lux floor mats and Co Pilot 360. Originally scheduled week of 12/13 then rescheduled 1/3 and went into production 1/5. received email built on 2/7 with estimated delivery to dealer 3/4 . Did put $1000 non refundable down at time of order so not sure if that put me ahead of some earlier June orders. 8 months to delivery which is about max I thought it would take.

Guess maybe that’s what the dealer is supposed to do for you/us? Keep us informed? Anybody want some of what I’m smokin’?

Yes I agree with you and they have not been at all. I was always the one checking in. They honestly may be tired of saying the same thing to the other 80 trucks they have the same issue with. who knows. Its frustrating to be sure.

I didnt get the option to put down $1000. My dealer wouldnt take a deposit. I wish I had as I am a bit paranoid about them selling it off when it arrives.
