Data mining is a huge and profitable business, collecting every aspects of our life. All of the entities that can collect whatever information about us, they will, regardless what they state in their privacy policies. Car makers are no exception for at least a decade by now. Their and trade organization privacy polices are meaningless, they are for politicians and judges.

If you really want to know what information is collected, look at forensic companies that specialize in car infotainment system. They will tell you, like this one:

Ford Maverick It’s Official: Cars Are the Worst Product Category We Have Ever Reviewed for Privacy 1699992319229

That pretty much covers everything... In addition, when you delete/remove your smartphone from the infotainment system, it doesn't actually delete it and remains on the storage device. Yes, the telemetry module behind the dashboard does have a storage device. Ford probably already has this data on their, or someone else's server as well.

Is it really relevant to this forum? Not really, unless you rent a vehicle and connect your smartphone to the vehicle. If you care about the data left on the rented vehicle, you can choose not to connect your smartphone......
