Anyone ever drive a unibody ford pickup before the maverick?

I had a 1964 F100 with 292 V8 which was a change in chassis and the worst mpg ever. They should have kept the 289 for it. My cousin had 1964 Ranchero and loved it.

the 289 was only available in Mexico sold, f series trucks.
the 352 was the only v-8 available after the 272 and 292 v-8 engines were discontinued, in the U.S. built f100's. until 1969, when the 302 and 360 became available.
