Is there carpet or a plastic cover missing from under my drivers side dash???

Hi All,
I just took my 22 Mav into the dealer for one of the many software updates and services, and I don't remember the driver's side area above the floor mat and carpet looking like this. Is something missing here? If anyone can send a picture of what it should look like. Please and thank you.
