So I added a hard top tonneau cover. It is about 45 pounds. Obviously that’s almost insignificant but I swear the truck handles and feels different . Almost as though it’s smoother and has a heavier steering. I have the FX4. My sisters husband insists the only difference is between my ears lol but I have had it 16 months and notice every little thing. I figured I would ask others here so i know if it’s realistic or imaginary. This is my first tonneau cover ever so either is a possibility.

Have you tried removing it and do some driving to feel the difference?

Placebo! If it helps or hurts, it's decimals. Really at 45 pounds total spread across the entire bed it's aero's are helping more than any of the added weight, but it's still not much.

The cover can make a difference in cross winds as the wind moves over the cover rather than in the bed which can make the ride seem more stable. So you might notice a difference, but like others have said, it isn’t significant. But every little bit helps.
