Okay guys!!! To connect iPod any iPod my is classic 160g with over 20.000 songs!!! Ford Maverick handling very well!!! As is connected Maverick take over , and the rest - to choose ,album, song you continue by the display on truck screen. I’m taking about ford Maverick lariat - 24 .
plug usb wire on front - and 30 pin to your iPod easy the trick start now????? You have to play with it - go left go right go good go bad go slow- and fast.
POINT IS Watching the battery 🪫 icon - as soon you WILL SEE CHARGE SYMBOL ON YOUR IPOD you are the winner !!!! Ford will take over iPod . It’s done

I have had minimal success getting iPod Classic Gen 7; 160 GB, firmware 2.0.4/2.05 to connect to Sync3. More often then not it will not work. However, the iPod Classic Gen 6; 80 GB, firmware 1.1.2 connects straight up without any issues. iPod Nano Gen 1 also connect. iPod Nano Gen 7 also connect wired and via bluetooth.

I concur with Adas' observation. I can connect my 160 GB Gen 7 Ipod Classic to my Maverick with Sync 3. The trick is getting the iPod Classic to render the battery charge status depicting either charging or the battery is charged.
