After looking around the dash and test fitting the Kicker Remote Bass Level Knob in several places, I decided it would look best in the dash. Inconspicuous and easy to reach, I mounted it in the location shown below:
1. Knob assembly (removed from bracket)
2. Knob mounted (rear view) 9/32 drill bit was perfect size for potentiometer mounting hole
3. Front view (out of the way and looks like it was meant to be there)
Nice to have it there too. Per Kicker's whitepaper, I set the Bass Knob at 75%, the Mav's volume at 23 (~75%) and turned the HS-10's gain up until I heard some light distortion and backed it off a click or two. That worked well and provides the adjustability for various artist/genres.
