My Maverick seems to have escaped the Ford tracking and inventory systems. Original build emails said it was built 1/30/2022 with estimated delivery of 2/12 - 2/18/2022. My dealer called on 2/7 to tell me it showed up at the railyard. Been waiting since then. I have a good working relationship with the dealer and they are doing everything they can. Dealer says it is not on any hold lists including chip shortages.
Got an email last night stating the delivery date got moved to 3/17 - 3/23/2022.
I called the Ford Marketing department today and got a totally different build date of 2/8/2022 and it is awaiting shipment with 3/23/2022 delivery date. Asked for them to escalate and send someone to the railyard and "put their hands on it", or provide a reason why it will take another month to go the last 20 miles.
So, since my Maverick slipped through the tracking and inventory system, its now known as "Houdini".
