125 metal chairs from a church to a park and back for a big activity. A bunch of guys cheered me on as I pulled away smoothly with the load.

RE: This is all the truck I need = my conclusion exactly. Which makes it all the more puzzling as to why Toyota, Dodge and GM aren't all over it.

The Santa Cruz doesn't have enough bed utility for me even if it can tow more in base models.

So true. I can remember when the Maverick first appeared most of the auto/truck pundits were predicting a competitive response from the other major manufacturers. None of that happened here in N. America and you're right; that is very puzzling. I'm thinking they just misread the market.
