Line-X and other places do SIBL, if you decide to swap the DIBL out.
I know and that will be the ultimate goal but I need to use the bed of the truck for fall yard work and hauling work stuff around so I needed something cheap. I am in New England so hopefully there is lots of snow and I can make some real money this winter hauling my snowblower around with piece of mind that the bed itself wont scratch or scrape the paint till then.

Honest opinion? The SIBL is the only way to go. Too many problems with the DIBLers. Water can get under a SIBL. Improper fit. It can become a sailboat and fly off. Dry rot and cracking is another issue. Things will slide around more with a SIBL. IDK what you paid for it, but a SIBL is around $700 for the Maverick at Line-X.
After water and sand got under my Ranger DIBL I'll never have another DIBL bed. Bed was screwed up with rust that I didn't even know as there under the DIBL. I paid $520 for a perfect LineX SIBL. job. My LINX dealer warranties their SIBL for life. Same LINEX dealer that does most of the local Ford Dealers SIBL...but cheaper directly. My LINEX Dealer admitted that in his 3 shop locations he had never had to fix a LineX bed in the 7 years as a LineX Franchise.

Ouch, how did that much sand and water get under the bed liner? Obviously, you use your truck more as a truck than I do. That does need to be part of the equation in any bed liner debate.

Water under the bed liner and rust are the biggest drawbacks to a DIBL. The OP even had to cut the bed liner in certain areas to have access points for tie downs. Water is guaranteed to get in any place with holes.

Hauled gravel, dirt, etc for landscaping. Over time water seeped in around DIBL joints, especially heavy rainfall, and it's really got no way of getting out, and the water carried sand and tiny gravel, grit, etc. underneath the DIBL... after a heavy rain I could have 2 or 3 inches of water in the front of the bed penetrating the DIBL joints The sand and fine gravel were sanding off the paint on the bed over 2 or 3 years...finally rusted a hold around a tie down bolt(s) holes in the bed....seeing rust on my garage floor led me to the bed hole(s)...The LineX, and most any SIBL, is like a turtle shell...no way water will get past the LineX coating.

As mentioned above, most people have to cutout or drill holes in their DIBLs for tie-down points. I installed my 8 tiedown eyebolts prior to getting the LINX SIBL, and my LineX guy took them all off and reinstalled them while the SIBL was still hot.

My Ranger DIBL had 4 locations for joints and rainwater found a way to get in. Plus cinder blocks or bricks tossed into the bed would eventually puncture the DIBL. My Maverick is a weekend work truck. My SIBL took 1 1/2 hrs to install and takes a lot of abuse with zero scratches or punctures. Most of the heavy rain got in at the top of the DIBL sides.

Exactly, and the water under the DIBL bedliner has no easy way out from underneath the bedliner, without taking the DIBL off, at least on my Ranger's DIBL.
