Ok, not only will this be my first truck but it is also my first car with battery power. So right now it is a 1.1KW battery right. Let’s say that in the next 5 years, they have a battery breakthrough and make a 100KW battery that is the same size. Let’s say that from the software side, Ford can update the software to handle it. The question is, what are the mechanical consequences? Could the car handle it? What would range be? Would you still need gas? Was hoping the smart people here could provide some answers

Lots of hypotheticals, but I'll answer it with this: Ford is not going to officially support a battery capacity upgrade for old cars.

Yeah, no. Just like with other improvements in available technology, you'll either enjoy what you've got, or you'll pass it on and buy the new vehicle with the updated battery - or the new EV that can go 1,000 on a charge.
