Hybrid VIN received from dealer 12/7

I do not know when the dealer was notified. I received a text from the dealer with the VIN and schedule date 1/17/22 unexpectedly this afternoon. I haven't received anything from Ford since I made the initial order online in July. The reservation never showed up online in My Ford. I called Ford Customer Service and confirmed my order. After that, I waited and read posts online not expecting any news until early 2022. Now I don’t have to keep checking my email on Thursday hoping to be scheduled. I think I preferred to just get notified out of the blue like I did this time.

Good for you. Exact same thing happen to me. Dealer notified me the same day mine got scheduled. Scheduled for 12/13, it has since been pushed to 12/20 now it it 1/03 which is fine by me. Just thankful I have a build date because a lot on here still have not.

Maybe Ford doesn't have your email addy. Otherwise you either would have received a scheduling email last Thursday or would be receiving one this Thursday. (Depending on how soon the dealer knows. I'm not sure.)

In any case congratulations! You have waited long enough.

In any case congratulations! You have waited long enough.
The dealer said they associated my email address with my order and Ford Customer Service verified my email address when I called. I gave up on seeing the progress in my Ford account. I can check the progress online using the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking Status. I am in no hurry for my Maverick. I bought it to tow behind my RV. The RV will be in storage most of the winter.
