Ordered an XLT hybrid with lux package in Area 51 (back on 7/12) and added the factory camper shell (not sure when I added that, but not long after they were announced). Shell showed up at the dealer a week or so back, truck hit the dealer today. Dealer had no idea it was close. He put my email address on the order but I’m one of the ones who never got any emails from Ford. I did have my order number and was able to track by VIN, though when I looked this morning it still said TBD with an estimate of Feb 15 for delivery. It shipped 1/8 and went in production 12/28, IIRC.
My dealer is good, but wasn’t able to get the PDI done and the shell installed today. They’re about an hour away, and are bringing it to me on Monday afternoon.
Super stoked, paying MSRP. Can’t wait to get her in a couple days, but VERY relieved and okay with the extra wait now that I know it’s really here. I can’t believe it takes 4.5 weeks to get from Mexico to NC, but it is what it is.
