Wanted to throw my experience into the mix, similar to many other hybrid owners.

1) Shuttering noise when letting go of the pedal. Sounds like gears are grinding. Really daunting sound, like car could break down at any moment.

2) when coming to complete stop, brake response is delayed, very light initial pressure and then pedal makes a thumping noise and feels sticky if that makes sense.

hope there’s an easy remedy for all this as I don’t have time to bring it constantly to dealership like others have due to my work schedule - I’ll hate to get rid of it but sounds inevitable.

I have option 2 as well. A little scary when trying to creep up to a light or car

Big D,
Scroll down a little to "Similar Threads" section. there are a ton of posts about the same problem.
There is a TSB on the topic from Ford. There is a fix for the problem.
EDIT: Welcome to the Forum!

How many miles? the shuddering/noise is a thing. Well documented in this site, could be a bad part (damper) or just needs breaking in.

I used to have it, not anymore after more miles racked up

I have roughly 1,300 miles, fairly new. So you’re saying it goes away over time?

Yep, I roughly started myself shuddering around 2,000 soon as I hit 5k it seems like it happened less and less. Now I'm at 16k No shudder, all smooth. The other member I linked in that post had the same experience.

Not sure exactly what it is, but something "settled" after X miles break in and causes it to not shudder. There's another member that had the damper replaced because no amount of miles would reduce it.. So your milage may vary as to what fixes it, But your truck is still young in age and miles so I wouldn't' put too much thought into it. Do keep in mind your trucks Hybrid components are 8-year or 100000-mile warranty coverage and the damper is a Hybrid component.
