Hybrid rocking back and forth at high idle.

At high idle during warm up while stopped and foot on brake, the truck lurches back and forth. Feels like it wants to take off. Like a dog on a leash. Once vehicle warms up and idle drops, it works like it should. Anybody notice this? And yes I do allow the thing to run before driving it.

After 1.5 years of ownership I have had that happen recently, a couple times over the past couple of months. I don't remember this happening before and I am going mention it to the dealer the next time I take the truck in. One time it was really bad and yesterday it was just noticeable.

I just started noticing it about a month ago. At first I thought it was me. This started 8 months after I had it at 3800 miles. I have been to the dealer so many times over other issues, I've been putting it off.

I had this happen several times when I had the hybrid as well. Never did anything about it, but definitely know what you're talking about. I owned it for a year, and it started doing that intermittently about month 5 or 6, and it was always when the vehicle was "cold".
Once it warmed up, it was all good.

Make sure you use TopTier™ (not premium) gas.

It happened to me on my 2025 at the 1000 mile mark. It threw a CEL and I took it to the dealer only for them to not find anything. I took a video of it. My guess is the engine damper gets stuck. Mine also makes a weird noise when the ICE engine engages and it is under load.

If you park with a low energy charge state of your HV battery it should reduce it considerably. Apparently what is happening is the vehicle uses a high idle to warm of the cats quickly and that overwhelms the dampener if the energy has nowhere to go. If your battery needs charging it will add load to the system and reduce the shaking.

No long term adverse effects have been shown (yet). I do wonder about long term effects on the clutch dampener but we really won't know for 5-10 years.

There have been some failures of dampeners early on (there is a specific CEL for it) but some have indicated they've driven through it and the issue resolved itself as the dampener has bedded in. A bad dampener sounds like marbles at the transmission/engine mating surface.
