I waited a year to the date for my XL Hybrid. I love every bit of it. I use it too much to think of taking if off.

Dealer messed up our 22->23 order and dropped our hitch and full CP360...
Dang it,

I know there are some good hitch kits with the right wiring.

I would have done the same. SIBL was the popular constraint when I ordered so I got that after.
SIBL was in short supply for 2022, but not 2023.

You just love to see it. Happy guy, happy with his truck.

Thanks for sharing!

I have enjoyed the capability x efficiency of this little truck. Making memories along the way with the people that I love.

Cheers,
I like the everything, I got the one close to 20K possible. With my options and taxes 24K. Can't complain.

Mpg going up to thre next size wider has been very noticeable. I'd say 0.25 mpg less if anything less.

Hey, so just to clarify, you went up to 235/65 and got 1/4 less mpg? That doesn't sound too noticable, that sounds great!

TheV8man,
I only have 600 miles and waiting for the 1000 to tow. I have an Aliner hard side popup that was supposed to weigh 1430 lbs by sales brochure and title, but it actually weighed 2,000 EMPTY (you can't trust anyone). Do you think I will have any problems? Looking at getting a remote brake controller like Tekonsha or Autowbrake.
After you off roaded yours, did you notice any damage to the underside panels? In New England with have a lot of rock and tree limbs. I am worried about the hybrid setup on the passenger side along with ripping up those cheap covers.
Did you use the cables only on the drive wheels or all?
Thanks. Keep having fun!
Well,

for towing you shouldn't have a problem. Your at your max for towing, just watch your payload. However the Maverick platform does have a capability of towing 4K, so the components to look out for are braking and cooling. You are getting a Brake controller which will absolutely going to help. I have a Tekonsha brake controller on my Silverado and I have used them on every other big truck I've had. So I can speak good on them. Cooling should be fine, but the ICE engine will be the one that would need the additional support. I would say if it feels heavy well your pulling and up hills, add a secondary radiator cooling fan. I've exceeded both tow cap, and payload cap for some hot long journeys with no issues. The ride was solid. If you feel it is a bit saggy add an airbag kit to the rear coils. There are a few cost effective kits, or swap out the rear coils for stiffer ones. I maxed both out and was squatting only a couple of inches. We were still very solid and steady on the road.

Off roading, no damage to rreport. I would say a good under coating should be added though to the metal surfaces underneath.

For snow just the cables on the fronts, the roads clear up when I was trailering. I'd say low speed for a long time in wet snow ttrailering put the cables on all four.

Absolutely will keep getting out there.

Booyah πŸ‘ŠπŸ½ 😁 πŸ‘πŸ½ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ, hope that helps.

Looks fun! What tonneau and trailer do you use? Hitch was constraint at ordering but uhaul quoted about 500 for everything.
The soft trifold trucxedo tonneau cover, our tent trailer is an old Starcraft starlight 19'. The U hauls were the 4x7, 5x8, 5x9 open trailers, and the 4x8, and 5x8 cargo trailers. Uhaul tripped a little on letting me rent the 5x8 cargo trailer and the 5x9 open trailers.

Not necessarily truck things, but having a bunch of fun. Keep it up and Happy Motoring.
Interesting my Silverado only has an payload capacity of 1800 pounds, and when I get close the mpg sucks, not the same in my Hybrid. I wouldn't have been able to tow a uhaul in to the dump with my Optima's or our Rondo. I also don't think I could have moved our tile, washing machine, and loads of dump trash.

I guess it's just funing.

Correct, I only had two fill ups in my 500 miles before I put the BFGOODRICH Trail Terrain 235/65 R17 on my Maverick.

I have used the heck out of them and have put 34000 on them with no issues.
