I’m experiencing the hybrid brake issue during stop and go traffic. I usually just feather the brakes in stop and go traffic, no gas, to allow my car to creep forward in stop and go traffic. However, with the hybrid, the brakes feel mushy / non-responsive, and sometimes it will either feel like the car will surge forward or abruptly stop with a loud “thunk”. I’m in NYC traffic so this has already happened a few times.
I know others have mentioned that this is a hybrid issue, but does anyone have suggestions on how they have modified their braking in stop and go to avoid this from happening? Don’t expect a Ford fix if this is a hybrid issue but willing to modify my own braking habits. Currently as is the behavior is too unpredictable and, I just can’t get an accurate feel of how the brakes/car will respond in stop and go traffic. Any thoughts? Thanks.
