HVAC system schematic and evaporator air filter

Curious, does anyone have a good schematic for the HVAC system? In a previous car the model years started off pulling in unfiltered outside air across the evaporator which resulted in all sorts of buildup necessitating the replacement of evaporators. After about a decade someone developed an accessory filter that went outside the air draw for the evaporator and stopped all the nasty pollen, dust, etc from running across it which greatly extended its lifespan.

Wondering what we have in our Maverick and how the HVAC system is set up. I know we have a cabin air filter but not sure if that stops dust/pollen/etc from getting on the evaporator of if it's downstream of it.

Like most HVAC systems, it's in the airflow before the evap coil. Location is behind the glove box and easy to change out. The manual has instructions.
