How to get trailer lights and Bliss to work simultaneously?

I bought a hitch cargo carrier and put lights on it, directional, brake and running lights. I just read on another post that Bliss, among other safety features will not work when the trailer light plug is used. Is there a work around to have the safety features work?

Not really.

And it makes sense to disable blind spot and cross traffic alerts.

You have changed the length of your vehicle so those sensors will be inaccurate.

Plus having the little yellow lamp on is a nice reminder that you'll need to be more careful.

I added a lighted step bumper and wanted the brake light to work on it. To enable that and retain Bliss functionality, I bought a trailer harness online to add another four way connector to plug it into. Plug and play into the passenger side tailight and works great!
