Funniest moment was when an elderly fellow pulled up to me next to a trout stream to ask how I liked my Ranger. He had seen it downstream a ways in a DNR parking area (tailgate lettering facing his house) by his farm all morning. Now I was on a wide spot in the grass by a bridge (tailgate lettering facing him as he drove up).
I said ”It‘s not a Ranger, it’s a Maverick.” He proceeded to tell me a shaggy dog story about his last truck, a Ranger. I told him there had been some recall issues with the MAVERICK (a little louder). He asked me if those Rangers could tow much. . .
I have to admit, I was one of those people. In 2022, when they were unobtainable, I asked a guy about his. Told me he waited a year to get his. I didn't bother looking until late 2023. Got lucky and only waited 3 weeks.
Other than some guys I work with, only had one person in a store parking lot ask me about mine.
I've had mine for 15 months now and have had about 20 people ask four basic questions.
1. How do you like your Maverick (love it)
2. What kind of mileage do you get (shows 41.4 avg. mpg)
3. What is that color called. (Area 51)
4. how long did it take to get it. (10 months)
I have driven it cross country twice ( once summer and once winter) and the only problem I had was it was a little light in the back in snow but nothing a half dozen bags of sand couldn't fix. I just turned 32,414 miles and of the 4 vehicles I own it's my go to ride.
