Hi all. Ordered my '24 Lariat Azure Gray 2.0/FX4 with moonroof on July 17th. Received dealer word that truck was built last week of October, shipped first week of November, and should arrive first week of December. Order was from small rural dealer with paperwork and at MSRP, and I confirmed they had no other '24 orders to place in front of mine, and I think they only had like 2 undelivered '23's at the time. I ordered no other accessories as I was advised those could be constraints that could cause delays. I guess I shouldn't count my chickens before they've hatched, but considering all the horror stories out there, I feel extremely lucky about my experience so far. I figured at least parts delivery would get delayed to Hermosillo due to the strike, but it seems that did not happen either. I was just curious how other experiences have been for those that ordered right when the order bank opened for the '24 model year. THANKS!

Lousy! No better than when I ordered early on the '23 MY.
Since 9/17/22 it has been 420 days. Disappointed & disgusted & losing patience. Just wanted the basic XL
& only "360" as added so there are no complications.
I never even see any Mavericks in our locale-- it seems
to me Ford is out to lunch. Also, if it takes this long to get
it, how long will it take to get any parts later?

You're right. I misread the totals. Its 36k, not 34k unbuilt orders in the USOB, plus (say) 10% more for CDN and another (say) 10% for LATAM customers. And if I read it correctly, they are only making a few more than new orders are coming in, so its going to be years until the backorders are fulfilled. Imagine theres a LOT of fleet orders also to add in. Thousands probably

Look at the bright side. At least you don't own 9000 shares of their stock. I do, dismal stock.

You're misinterpreting that report out of context. The last one for MY23 (here) had 21,789 remaining orders in the last week of MY23 scheduling. The next week, those become rollovers and were combined in with MY24 orders to total of 52,941 (here). There are now 36,771 remaining as of this report, with new orders still coming in.

Highest VIN tells us at least 30,300 have already been scheduled, for a total USOB for the year of at least 67,071. That means about 45% of orders, rollover or new, have already been scheduled in just 3 out of the 13 months of production. So the majority of all orders, rollover or new, will likely be scheduled by the end of March, unless they start getting 13,000 new orders a month.

That said, allocations are still going to be key. So if some one ordered from a dealership where they maxed out their allocations for their desired trim, then there's a chance their specific truck won't be made until that allocation opens up for the dealer, which could be as late as next November if they're the last in line. On the other hand, if the dealer already had all of some trim and engine already built (e.g., EB XLTs being ordered below capacity), then some one who orders one this month could potentially be scheduled for the next month since that allocation is open.

Don't worry, you're not the only one in this position. I ordered a 23 that got rolled over to’24. I am 453 days and counting. Ford better get their shit together and build my truck or I will buy from Toyota or Dodge when they come out with a Maverick competitor.

And you would probably wait 2 years for that one.
