For those of you that ordered a 22, but did not get it because of COVP....How do you cope with not receiving a private offer?

Here is my rationale on ordering and waiting for this vehicle:

My purchase mainly based on price, and to get something with a bed. Why buy anything used when the new prices are this low?

And I justified waiting 16+ months...patiently because my original price was going to be honored.

I had been told by Ford that based on my schedule production date it would absolutely not be produced as a 2023 and be produced as a 2022 as scheduled.... well it kept getting pushed back and pushed back and finally converted at the end of November.

I justified that as I was still getting the same price and free cruise on my XL with no options... so I was content.

Dealer took down all the documentation, copy of ID, paper work, confirmation email from Ford and assured everything was done correctly, but dealer finally admitted they didn't do COVP because it messed with their order metrics, and this gave them more flexibility.
I brought up private offer right when they came out and dealer put little effort it to trying to resolve, and is basically trying to get me not to buy, so they can selel for more.

What do you tell yourself? "Oh well, life doesn't go your way, move on." "Sure the dealer and Ford wouldn't do this intentionally and they could make it right if they could"

It's difficult to move on from this because we did everything we were told at time of order, and Ford and the dealer took actions that ultimately benefited them financially at our expense.

What is more frustrating is Ford has the ability to verify the orders....and confirm who purchased.... and pay us out just like the ones that were COVP. They sent the confirmation e-mail to me. Dealer had the documentation, but didn't submit it in a manner that wasn't required at the time, and Ford can verify we are the ones that actually purchased the vehicle.

After so much waiting, so much time of documentation and following up, it's difficult to move on and would seriously appreciate any advice.

They didn't COVP my 22 order, I just found out. My 23 is on the lot and I have no private cash offer. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to confront them, and if they are not cooperative, I'm going to find Ford customer service VP's on LinkedIn and start messaging them (or something like that).

Did you get this resolved or did you accept it and miss out on the cash offer?

I hope you get this resolved. The requirements for this were too restrictive, and so many people at Ford have no idea when you talk to them. Should be easy to prove it was a rollover and to get the private offer paid by Ford.

My situation is that the expiration date is 3 April for the private offer and my truck is now estimated due here on 5 April 2023. It is on a rail car in state. 10 more days to travel, what, a 100 miles? It was supposed to be here no later than today. Ordered on 8 October 2021. Had the VIN and was rolled over to 2023MY and ordered on 14 November 2022. Five months to get a priority 2 order. Delays in production and shipping of the 2023MY have pushed my delivery out even further than I was initially informed by the Tracker and Ford Chat. I can't get an answer from Ford what is going to happen. I have a cert number for my offer. So at least the rollover was handled correctly by my dealer. Don't know why Ford even put an expiration date on the private offer.

This whole thing is awful, Ford is a joke. Def bring the hammer on people to get it resolved. I've heard of people who had a VIN for their 22 then it was cancelled and rolled to a 23 and that was easier to get a private cash offer cert for than my situation where they didn't even put it in the COVP.

I originally ordered mine 11/10/21 so like you, I've been waiting a while! And its in the lot! I sat in it, what a tease haha

I happened to me too. I feel your pain and support your arguments as to why we should get it.

If you don’t take it, you ultimately do this:

1. Lose it and have to pay ADM elsewhere
2. Lose and let dealer make an ADM

Another dealer doing a customer wrong.

Your Private Offer will not expire. They continually get extended every 3 months until your truck is built.

My Maverick is scheduled to arrive 4/20. I called Ford Marketing and they do not show a Certificate tied to my order but they maintain a list that they will research. She made it sound like there may not be enough Offers to go around so they have to move things around. In the end she said to contact my dealer and them work it from their side. My recommendation is to call marketing as soon as you get a VIN so it will give your dealer time to make it right. She said I qualified by converting a 2022 Hybrid to a 2023 Hybrid and they are still being issued as of today, April 11, 2023.
