Hill decent control not working

Hello. I just took delivery of my 2023 maverick lariat fx4. Ive added in the drive modes using forscan and a couple other things. My hill decent control button does basically nothing and I’m wondering if that has anything to do with forscan. It worked on day 1 of owning the truck but not sense. Any experience with this?

So on my truck it’s as if the button is disconnected. There’s no message or anything to show it was ever pushed.

So after I change anything in forscan for the abs module (like drive modes and what not) it says “hill decent fault” then the message dissapears. Did I set something wrong?

I guess so. I added sport mode and mine still works. Revert the changes you made and see if it comes back on.

Just wait a bit and hopefully you can get some better replies. If not, try posting in the ForScan section on how to diagnose and hopefully fix it. Could just be something failed and needs replaced but if it was working before then likely something in ForScan disabled it.

Yea that’s my thoughts is I’m just missing something stupid.

Go to https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt and download your as-built file.

Then restore the factory as-built values using FORScan. So you know your configuration is exactly as it left the factory. If you still have the problem then it is not a result of anything you did.

Did you get this figured out? I’m having the same issue on my 23 Maverick tremor that i added eco, sport and lane keeping too

Seems like you have to going <30 mph for it to engage
