Hi all. I'm Dan. I'm new to this forum but lurked looking for answers and whatnot for probably close to 2 years. I'm currently in Northern California but travel between the Bay Area and Portland for work and family.

I have a 22 Ford Maverick XLT in Gray with a rack and tonneau. That's all I have done to it. I have a previous work life of pro car detail and install. I needed something with good mileage and the ability to replace my very old Ranger for my lumbar / sheet goods / recycling.

My Maverick is currently at the Ford Dealership going on 3 weeks undergoing recalls and now problems their tech created. I went to pick it up yesterday and they gored the heck out of my interior. I left it for them to figure out the next move. They mangled it. Just think greasy hands and a flat head for a pry bar.

They said they solved the deep sleep issue with a new software update, but I highly doubt it. The update would not take so they had to replace the TCU?

So, Hello!

Got the software update for my sleep issue, but I also dumped their battery and paid on my own for a Diehard. They faulted my drain issue on my after market amp setup. Whatever! No issues at all for a week now. Dealer did move things around in my cabin. Drivers seat was all the way up and I am 6'1" tall. I have a powered seat. Was not fun to get it back to where I had it. Barely could get in to start the car so I could move the seat back. This is why I will be doing my own oil changes. As I have done with all my new cars...................going on 40 years. Mechanics are on a time crunch and sometimes will cause wear on areas that they shouldn't.

Agreed. They definitely put it together like they were on a massive time crunch. Anyone that's been a tech probably knows that the new guys may get the recall work as it pays so little.
I'm very picky with my truck. It is washed every 2 weeks in the winter. More often in the summer. It is ceramic coated. The interior was flawless and by flawless I mean since I was waiting for the truck for 6 months I had already bought the weathertech mats and seat covers. The only butt that has touched the seat is whoever did the inspection. the fact that they wrecked the interior is so frustrating when I've kept it flawless for over 2 years.

Many on this forum, as you probably saw, had their interior messed up by dealers doing the air bag recall. Nightmare

I got my Maverick back for a few days while they order a bunch of interior parts to replace. They have to remove the entire dash to replace the top part. Boy, they did a number on this thing. Seatbelt wont retract anymore and even the visors are dangling from the headliner. How on Gods green earth... Also the have to redo the AC apparently when they remove the dash. Fun times. They said they have taken a dash off a Maverick for warping. Found that interesting.
