Chicago weather here! if it wasn't for the heated seats, I probably would have frozen. Even at highway speeds, heater is just not "HOT" copared to my old trusty 4cyl ranger.

I guess with all these wonderful new things we will be uncomfortably cold in vehicles, heat pump homes, but the electric companies will love us, watch that meter spin. Time to invest in thermal under ware, maybe some battery powered!

My XL has a great heater on Manual setting, Temp on Max & Floor air direction.

My Hybrid is warm and heats up just as fast as my Subaru did, which was fast.

My home is warm and I have mini-split heat pumps. 100% heat output even if it gets down to -13° and that's w/o strip backup heat. If it got that cold here (it doesn't), I'd turn on the backup propane heater$.
The majority of the time, mini-split heat pumps are a helluva lot cheaper to use than propane heat. You have to buy the type of system suitable for your climate, though, not the cheapest POS China sells.

I don't know if you have the automatic temp system? If you do it doesn't work for heat. I found that I couldn't get any warm air until I went to manual temp control, then it works fine.
