Heated Seats/Wheel Issue

I had the same issue with the remote start not registering the heater seats and wheel until I turn the key (XLT). Both are set to auto in the settings, which should be based on what they were set to from the last time the engine was shutdown.

Note: It did work on the first time I used the remote start, but that was in the summer and the heated seats and steering wheel came on. So I set them to off then. Ever since going back to auto, they still do not turn on with remote start.

Yes. In my instance they gave the dealership a heads up. I suppose the problem is noted in some database somewhere tied to your vin. Some who get this notice I think expect Ford to diagnose their problem over the internet through this forum.
I feel that most who receive this notice never follow up and that's on them.
